  1. The radius of a circle is half the diameter.
  2. The area of a circle is given by pi x r2. square units.( r is the radius and pi = 3.14)
  3. The perimeter of a circle is the circumference.
  4. The circumference of a circle is given by C = 2 x pi x r units.
Example: The radius of a circle is 5 cm. Find the area.
Area = pi x r2
Area = 3.14 x 5 x 5
Answer: 78.5 sq cm
