Example:
The radius of a circle is 28 cm. An arc AB subtends an angle of 105 at the center O. Find the area of the sector OAB.

Solution:
Given that,
r = 28 cm, and x = AOB = 105
The area of the sector OAB = (x / 360) * p * r2
= (105/360) * 22/7 * 28 * 28
= (7 * 22 * 14) / 3
= 2156/3
= 718 2/3 sq cm.
