Decimals are fractional numbers. The decimal 0.5 is the same as the fraction 5/10. The number 0.13 is a decimal and its equivalent fraction is 13/100.
Adding Decimals is just like adding whole numbers.
Write the problem in column form
Align the decimal points so the digits you are adding have the same place value.
Add the decimal numbers.
Put the decimal point in your sum or answer in the proper place.
If the decimals number are of different decimal places, we convert them into same decimal places by putting zeros at the right of the decimals wherever necessary.
