#### Division of a Mixed Number with a Whole Number

Example: 2 3/4 ÷ 2 = ?
First, convert the mixed number to an improper fraction.
2 3/4 ÷ 2 = 11/4 ÷ 2
Multiply the improper fraction with the reciprocal of the whole number.
= 11/4 x 1/2
= 11/8

#### Division of a Whole Number with a Mixed Number

Example: 6 ÷ 2 2/3 = ?
First, convert the mixed number to an improper fraction
6 ÷ 2 2/3
= 6 ÷ 8/3
Multiply the whole number with the reciprocal of the improper fraction,
= 6 x 3/8
= 24/8

#### Division of a Mixed Number with a Mixed Number

Example: 2 2/3 ÷ 3 1/3 = ?
First, convert both the mixed numbers to improper fractions.
2 2/3 ÷ 3 1/3
= 8/3 ÷ 10/3
Multiply the first improper fraction with the reciprocal of the second improper fraction.
= 8/3 x 3/10
= 24/30
