To multiply a mutlinomial by a monomial: Method:
Multiply each term of the multinomial by the monomial
Write the products with the proper sign.
Example:
Multiply 5x^{2}+6x-7 and 7x Solution:
(5x^{2}+6x-7)7x = (5x^{2})(7x)+(6x)(7x)-(7)(7x) (Distributive Property)
= 35x^{3}+42x^{2}-49x
