Each one of the natural numbers that divides a given number exactly (i.e., with remainder zero) is called a factor of the given number. A factor is also called a divisor.

Example:
Write all the possible factors of 24.
24 = 2x12
=3x8
=4x6
=6x4
=8x3
=12x2
Therefore, all the factors of 24 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24.

Multiples:

The products we get when a number is multiplied by an integer (1, 2, 3, ..) are called the multiples of the given number.

Example:
Write the first 4 multiples of 8.
First four multiples of 8 are 8x1, 8x2, 8x3, and 8x4.
Therefore, the first four multiple of 8 are 8, 16, 24, and 32.
