Directions: Read the following recipe for making cookies. Number the steps in the proper order for making cookies. As a homework, find the recipe for making your favorite food item and write the steps and number them.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat 1/2 cup butter, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 cup dry pudding mix and 1 egg in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
Combine 2 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, and 1 tsp. ground cinnamon. Gradually add to pudding mixture, beating until well blended after each addition. Form into ball. (Refrigerate for up to 1 hr. if dough is soft.)
Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut out the dough into animal shapes using a 4-in. cookie cutter; place on greased baking sheet. Re-roll scraps and cut additional cookies as needed.
Decorate cut-outs with small candies, raisins or sprinkles for eyes, mouth and buttons, pressing in lightly. Bake 12 to 14 min. or until slightly firm. Remove from baking sheets. Cool on wire racks.
Melt 3 sq. baking chocolate in microwavable bowl on MEDIUM for 2 min. Spread on animals as decoration or use it as a “glue” to attach more decorations.
