Rules for Order of Operations:
1: First perform any calculations inside parentheses.
2: Next perform exponents.
3: Next perform all multiplications and divisions, working from left to right.
4: Lastly, perform all additions and subtractions, working from left to right.

= 2 + 3 x 4  Multiplication
= 2 + 12  Addition
= 14
 32 ÷ 16  2
= 32 ÷ 16  2  Division
= 2  2  Subtraction
= 0
 (12  10) x 5
= (12  10) x 5  Parentheses
= 2 x 5  Multiplication
= 10
 2 + 2 x (1 + 2) ÷ 3  7
=2 + 2 x (1 + 2) ÷ 3  7  Parentheses
=2 + 2 x 3 ÷ 3  7 Multiplication
=2 + 6 ÷ 3  7  Division
=2 + 2  7  Addition
= 4  7  Subtraction
= 3

=3^{2}2(42)+3^{2}  parenthesis
=3^{2}2(2)+3^{2}
=3^{2}2(2)+3^{2}  exponents
= 9  2(2) + 9  multiplication, adding and subtracting
