1.22 Addition of Three One Digit Numbers
Method:
First add two numbers.
Add the third number to the sum of first two.
It does not matter what order you add numbers in, the sum is still the same.
If there is parenthesis, then perform the operation in the parenthesis first.
Example:
4+6+3=____
4 + 6 = 10
10 + 3 = 13
Answer: 13
Example:
5+(1+8)=____
1 + 8 = 9
5 + 9 = 13
Answer: 14
Directions:
Find the sum of three numbers and choose the correct answer. Also write at least ten examples of your own.
