Method:
  1. Read the numbers carefully.
  2. Look at the number in hundreds place.
  3. If the number in hundreds place is more than 5, then it is increased to the nearest thousands.
  4. If the number in hundreds place is less than 5, then it is decreased to the nearest thousands.
Example: 4,597,809 - Round to the nearest thousands.
The number in hundreds place is 8, so we increase to the nearest thousands.
Answer: 4,598,000

Example: 5,695,509 - Round to the nearest thousands.
The number in hundreds place is 5, so we increase to the nearest thousands.
Answer: 5,696,000

Example: 4,597,309 - Round to the nearest thousands.
The number in hundreds place is 3, so we decrease to the nearest thousands.
Answer: 4,597,000
