Method
  1. Write the given percentage as a fraction with denominator 100.
  2. Multiply this fraction with the whole number given.
Example: 5% of 500.
(5/100) x 500
Answer: 25

Example: 60% of 75
(60/100) x 75 = (3/5) 75 = 45
Answer: 45

Example: 25% of 200
(25/100) x 200 = (1/4) 200 = 50
Answer: 50
