Method:
- Read the questions carefully.
- While dividing decimals by 10, we move one decimal place to the left.
- If the number of digit(s) at the left of decimal point of the dividend are not sufficient, we put the required number of zeros to get the quotient.
Example: 0.81/10
Shift one decimal point to the left
Answer: 0.081
Thus, we can get quotient even orally as:
103.5 ÷ 10 = 10.35
0.52 ÷ 10 = 0.052
2184.6 ÷ 10 = 218.46
13.07 ÷ 10 = 1.307
2.5 ÷ 10 = 0.25
.005 ÷ 10 = 0.0005
