  • Divide the dividend by the divisor and write the quotient and the remainder.
    Example: 63 / 9
    9 times 7 is 63.

  • When the divisor is 10, remove one zero from the dividend to get the quotient.
    Example: 40 / 10
    Remove one zero from the dividend
    Answer: 4
