Arithmetic or Geometric Series

Arithmetic series is defined by:
a + (a+d) + (a+2d) + (a+3d) + ..... + (a+(n-1)d) = n (2 a + (n - 1) d) / 2

Geometric series is defined by:
a + ar + ar2 + ar3 + ..... + arn-1 = a (1 - rn) / (1 - r), for r not equal to 1
