High School Mathematics 9.14 The Slope - Intercept Form of a Line

A line with Y-intercept C and Slope m is y = mx+c. This form of a line is called the slope intercept form.

Example:
Find the equation of the line with slope 3 and y-intercept 2. Solution:
Equation of line with a slope m and y-intercept c is y = mx + c.
Given that,
Slope = 3 and y-intercept = 2
Substituting in the above equation we get,
y = 3x + 2
Which is the required equation.
