
Example  I: Find the slope of the line 3x + 3y = 0. Solution: To find the slope of this line, we will convert this equation in the form of y = mx. i.e., 2x + 3y = 0 3y = 2x y = (2/3)x The above equation is in the form of y = mx and its slope is m. Therefore, slope of the line is 2/3.
