Geometry 6.13 Volume of The Prism - II (Right Angled Isosceles Triangle Prism)
Example:
The base of a triangular prism is a right angled isosceles triangle, equal sides are each 17 cm. and height is 10 cm. Find its volume. Solution: Area of the right angled isosceles triangle = 1/2 * a^{2}
Where a = side of the triangle.
= 1/2 * 17 * 17 = 289/2 Sq. cm.
Height (h) = 10 cm. Volume of the prism = A * h
= 289/2 * 10
= 289 * 5
= 1445 cu. cm.
