A conjunction joins words or groups of words in a sentence. The most commonly used conjunctions are and, but, and or.

Examples:
My sister and I both want to win the trophy.
Tonight, it will rain or snow.
I wanted to go to the party, but I got sick.


Directions: Use appropriate conjunctions to complete the sentences correctly. Write five more examples sentences using each of the three conjunctions discussed in this chapter. As a homework, read a book and write at least ten sentences containing conjunctions and underline the conjunctions in them.
