Example:
By what fraction the cost price should be multiplied to get selling price, if loss is 25%.

Solution: Formula : S.P = C.P*(100 - l)/100
Where S.P = selling price, C.P = cost price and l = loss.
The fraction is (100 - l)/100
(100-25)/100 = 75/100 = 3/4
Therefore, the fraction is 3/4.
