Grade 7 - Mathematics 9.14 Perimeter of the Rectangle

Example:
The length and width of a retangle ABCD are 7 cm and 10 cm. Find its perimeter.

Solution: Perimeter of the Rectangle (P) = 2 [l + w]
Where P is perimeter of the rectangle, l is length and w is width.
Given that,
lengh (l) = 7 cm and width (w) = 10 cm.
P = 2 [l + w]
P = 2 [7 + 10]
P = 2 [17]
P = 34 cm.

Directions: Read the above example carefully and answer the following questions. Also find 10 different rectangles around you, measure their sides and find the perimetres.
