 Example: The area of a sector whose radius is 8 cm is 120 sq cm. Find the perimeter of the sector. Solution: Given that, A = 120 sq cm and r = 8 cm. Formula A = lr/2 l = 2A/r l = (2*120) / 8 Therefore, l = 30 cm. Hence the perimeter of the sector = r + r + l = 8 + 8 + 30 = 46 cm.
