9.22 The Area of a Sector - II

Example:
The length of an arc of a sector whose radius is 8 cm, is 10 cm. Find its area.

Solution:
Given that,
l = 10 cm, and r = 8 cm.
Formula A = lr/2
Therefore, A = (10 * 8) / 2
A = 80 / 2
A = 40 sq cm.
